Banarasi sarees by Eeshani.
Our Banarasi saree collection brings together tissue, mashru, tanchui and viscose zari weaves from Varanasi, made for festive dressing. Each saree is hand-picked for the clarity of its weave and the way its zari catches the light, and we buy in small numbers, so stock is limited.
Colours lean towards jewel tones: wine, rani pink, parrot green, purple, orange and blue. The fabric type is named on every product page, so you always know whether you are choosing a sheer tissue or a firmer mashru. Prepaid orders ship free across India and we ship worldwide. Whether you are dressing for a wedding, Diwali or a milestone dinner, you will find a weave and colour here that suits. The weave is named on every product page, so you can compare tissue, mashru and tanchui side by side before you choose.

A Banarasi saree is the one in your wardrobe that you bring out for occasions that matter: weddings, Diwali, anniversaries and family pujas. Its zari work gives it presence, and the weave structure gives it a drape unlike any printed fabric. Because the weaves differ, you can match the saree to the weather and the event. Tissue is lighter and cooler, tanchui is compact and subtle, mashru is smooth and firm.
To wear it well, keep the blouse plain and use a petticoat that matches the saree body. Add a gold or kundan necklace and let the pallu fall over one shoulder. Never store zari sarees tightly packed with perfumed items, and refold them every few months so creases do not set into the zari. Dry cleaning is recommended. Pair the saree with a pearl or kundan set for the most classic look, or go bolder with gold jhumkas and a statement bun.

It depends on the weave. Tissue and viscose Banarasi are lighter, while mashru has a firmer feel.
Fold it in muslin, avoid contact with perfume and moisture, and refold it along new lines every few months.
