Fluid dola silk, hand block-printed in Ajrakh.
Dola silk Ajrakh sarees pair a glossy, fluid fabric with one of Kutch's oldest printing traditions. Each drape in this edit is hand block printed in Ajrakh, a resist-and-dye process that layers deep indigo, madder red and earthy tones into repeating geometric motifs, with zari borders on selected pieces.
Dola silk has a softly shining surface and a fall that settles beautifully around the hips, which makes it a natural choice for pujas, weddings and dinners. Because each print run is small, you will see only a handful of designs at any time. Prepaid orders ship free across India, and we ship worldwide. Open a saree to read its fabric, colour and pallu details before you decide. The collection also includes a few silk blend Ajrakh pieces in similar prints.

Ajrakh prints are busy and graphic, so keep the rest of the look calm. A solid blouse picked from the quietest shade in the print, such as deep maroon, indigo or ivory, lets the pattern lead. Oxidised silver, terracotta or gold-toned jewellery all work, and a simple low bun keeps the attention on the pallu. Dola silk has enough weight to pleat neatly: three to five generous pleats, tucked firmly, fall straight without fuss.
Hand block prints can show small differences in alignment and shade from piece to piece, which is the mark of the process rather than a flaw. Prints made with natural dyes can release colour if soaked, so have the first wash done by a dry cleaner, never wring the fabric, and dry it in shade. Store it folded in muslin. If you are choosing between prints, hold the saree against your skin tone in daylight, since indigo and madder read differently from warm to cool complexions. Ajrakh is a hand block printing tradition from Kutch and Sindh. Cloth is printed and dyed in several stages, building layered geometric patterns in indigo, red and earthy shades.
Dola silk is a glossy, fluid fabric prized for its drape. The fabric field on each product page names exactly what a saree is made of, so check it before you order.
Yes. The rich colour and lustre suit weddings, pujas and evening events, and a simple blouse and jewellery keep the look polished.
Dry cleaning is recommended, particularly for the first wash. Avoid soaking, do not wring, dry in shade and store folded in muslin.
