Viscose, tissue, tanchui and mashru weaves with zari.
Banarasi sarees online are easiest to choose when you know the weave, so this edit is organised around it. Every piece here comes from the looms of Varanasi, where zari and silk-like yarns become tissue, tanchui, mashru and viscose Banarasi sarees in jewel tones such as wine, rani pink, parrot green and deep blue.
We hand-pick a few drapes from each weave instead of stocking a vast catalogue, so quantities stay small and a design may not return once it sells out. Prices run from ₹4,999 to ₹5,999, inclusive of taxes, and prepaid orders ship free across India. Use the filters to narrow by colour or occasion, then open any saree to see its fabric and zari detail up close. Each product page lists the weave, colour and zari detail.

Tissue Banarasi is the lightest of the group: a sheer, metallic-toned base that catches the light and drapes easily, which suits evening functions and warm weather. Tanchui, also written Tanchoi, is closely woven with a fine, often tone-on-tone pattern and a soft sheen. Mashru has a smooth, satin-like face and a firm hand, so it holds pleats well through a long celebration. Viscose Banarasi gives you the richness of zari at a lighter weight.
When styling, let the saree be the statement: a plain blouse in a matching or contrasting shade, a slim gold or kundan set, and a low bun or loose waves. Keep the saree folded in muslin, refold it along new lines every few months, and keep it away from perfume and direct sun. Dry cleaning is the safest route for zari work. Banarasi sarees also make thoughtful gifts for weddings and festivals, because the weave feels special the moment the box is opened. Check the length and blouse details on the product page.
Tissue is sheer with a metallic sheen, tanchui is compact with a fine woven pattern, and mashru has a smooth, satin-like face with a firmer feel. Viscose Banarasi uses a lighter yarn to keep the zari look at a softer weight.
The fabric is named on every product page, for example tissue, tanchui, mashru or viscose Banarasi, so you can check it before you order.
